Hot Pot Eco Clothing guards against social injustice and exploitation (aka sweatshop labour) that is rife in the clothing manufacturing industry. We do this by insuring that all the garments we use are produced in environments where societal fairness and equality are highly regarded.
We do this by only using clothing that has been strictly monitored through a transparent manufacturing supply chain via an independent audit by the Fair Wear foundation.
Under the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), farmers and agricultural workers are protected by stringent social criteria, total traceability across the entire supply chain, and also by the ban on the use of poisonous chemicals that can severely damage the health of farmers and their families.
Low Carbon / Renewable green energy:
The garments hot pot eco clothing use are made in manufacturing facilities in India powered by wind turbines, from low-impact organic cotton.
Hot Pot Eco Clothing’s garments are initially transported to us from India via containerized ocean shipping, this goes towards reducing the carbon footprint generated in transportation of our items.
When the items arrive in the UK the are transported and stored via carbon neutral warehouses and offices in that use only renewable green electricity all the way to us.
The garments we use are certified by the The Carbon Trust to have a 90% lower carbon footprint then an average t-shirt.
The processing of the dye waste takes place in a controlled closed-loop purification system that uses treatment ponds, sand filtration and reversed osmosis to convert the waste water into clean water.
